Hospice services are intended to control the symptoms of a terminal illness and provide palliative care. To qualify for a hospice, an individual must have a terminal illness and be diagnosed with six or fewer months of life.

Hospice services can include:

  • Nursing care
  • GP services
  • Counselling and support
  • In-patient and out-patient services
  • Pain management
